Extremely rare antique Majolica Oyster Plate attributed to the Fives-Lille workshop in Northern French celebrated for its expressive naturalistic designs and exceptional Barbotine craftsmanship. Featuring six deeply moulded shells with blue, green, and soft pink tones enhanced by subtle iridescent highlights, arranged around a round cobalt blue central well.
19th century, France. Diameter 22.5cm.
Repurposed as a Seder Plate for Passover and beyond. Crudités, canapés, petit four... the options are endless. A very useful serving dish in any Balaboosta’s home!
